Duration : Two Years
Purpose : To make the students eligible to teach Secondary and Higher Secondary School.
Nature of Award : Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Degree
Eligibility for admission and CET examination :
As per Maharashtra State B.Ed. centralised Admission process rules and Information Broucher 2016-17.
Candidates who have completed their three year graduation / Post graduation in any faculty from the recognized University or any course for which Maharashtra Government has given equvalancy with Graduation. The candidates belonging to open category who have secured minimum 50% marks (Marks obtained between 49.5 to 50% will be considered as 50%) and those belonging to Backword Class Category(SC,ST,VJ-A,NT-B,NT-C,NT-D,OBC,SBC) who have secured minimum 45% marks (Marks obtained between 44.5% to 45% will be considered as 45%) and candidates from out side of Maharashtra Universities belonging to all category who have secured minimum 50% marks (49.5% to 50% will be considered as 50%) at graduate or post graduate degree will be eligible to appear for CET examination and admission.
The candidates having two years or one year degree course (Excluding Open University) will not be eligible for the B.Ed. Admission.
SCHOLARSHIPS AND FREESHIP :
Students can get scholarship, government scholarships, freeships concessions for eligible students according to prescribed norms.
1) Government of India scholarship, vidhya vetan and freeships to students of Backward Classes :-
i) The student must declare at the time of admission his / her eligibility to such scholarship, freeship concession enjoyed by him in the previous year.
ii) Students belonging to Backward classes as may be prescribed by the government from time to time availing of such scholarship or freeships have to pay at the time of admission, all fees other than fees, exempted by the government. If the scholarship or freeship is not sanctioned by the government, they will have to pay all fees to the college immediately.
2) Primary Teachers Concession.
3) Secondary Teachers Concession
4) Economically backward concession (E.B.C.)
5) Scholarship for physically Handicapped.
6) Scholarship for Minority.
Intake Capacity : For B.Ed. Regular course the Intake Capacity is 50 students.
Course Structure :
As B.Ed. degree course are included in professional course, 100% regular attendance is Compulsory for each part during the course time.
